So we never did that. I mean, seriously... No onesies. No bottles. No babyproofing. NO jinxing, right?
But what about potential adoptive parents? (Henceforth, we shall refer to them as PAPs...Scratch that. It sounds gross.)
The Baby Section
After much researching and trolling through adoption support forums over the last few years, it seems like this is a pretty hot-button issue, but my take away is that once you enter this process and have a match to a birthmom, get on it, dawg gone-it. Better safe than sorry.
Today, we made our first "authorized" adventure into the Baby Section. You ladies know what I'm talking about. Unless I was doing a drive-by shop for my young neice and nephews, Laura wouldn't be caught DEAD in the inner circle of the Baby Section.
We came away with a pretty precious set of onesies and a Tommee Tippee newborn bottle system that I've been reading about and wanted to try. It's produced by a company from the UK, and fun fact: David was born in the UK. Gotta rep!
What was your first piece of baby gear to purchase? Any recommendations out there?
Like you, I never bought anything, for fear of miscarriage.but close to 20 weeks, we bought 2 sets of pink and blue booties to present to the grandparents to reveal the genders of the twins. After that, I felt ok starting to buy things.
ReplyDeleteI bought a really cute and practical rain coat for Abigail as a newborn/infant. I was like a shawl sorta and snapped down the front. Well worth the investment.
